Mi hijo ha visto los zompopitos de mayo
invadiendo el jardín
y ha recorrido con ellos el camino
que va de la rosa al limonero arrastrándose
arrastrándose

con su corazoncito pegado a la tierra
sube la cuesta de una raíz
dobla la esquina de un árbol
el ladrillo abandonado su humedad
en su tristeza

el patio huele a mayo me ha dicho
y ha llevado sus carritos, sus soldaditos de plomo
sus pequeños duendes
a jugar la batalla imaginaria del sueño

En el jardín
la tierra húmeda y el musgo como una lágrima
que se enjuga
se abrazan a la raíz del limonero.
