Pijuyo charralero, selvantino
inferior del paisaje y bajo vuelo,
que teniendo un azulhuyes del cielo
y mendigas las frondas del camino.
Te logras levantar, mas con recelo
te posas en las ramas de un espino
y, piando con dejo peregrino,
subrayas tu pausado ritornelo,
Piar con que de pronto te atempera
el ambiente por fin, de que te escapas
como del corazón de la pradera.
Y ruedas por la tierra cantarina,
como rueda una gota cristalina
en las dulces llanuras de los mapas.
