Era austero y sesudo: no existía
fraile más ejemplar en el convento;
en su escuálido rostro macilento,
de lágrimas un poema se leía.
hojeaba triste un libro amarillento,
cayó, convulso y torvo, de su asiento,
sin vida en la marmórea losa fría.
en el claustro que de ello haga memoria
y velan la verdad misterios hondos;
el libro extraño, y que al abrirlo, hallara
unos cabellos de mujer muy blondos…
